Ferries to Inis Mór

To reach Inis Mór by ferry, you can depart from three ports: Galway CityRossaveal, or Doolin. The Galway City ferry offers a direct 90-minute journey, while Rossaveal, located about an hour’s drive from Galway, provides a shorter 40-minute crossing, and Doolin in County Clare offers a seasonal route with stunning views of the Cliffs of Moher.

Galway City Ferry to Inis Mór Island

The ferry from Galway City to Inis Mór offers a scenic and direct voyage across Galway Bay, providing stunning views of the Atlantic and the Aran Islands. Operated by Aran Island Ferries, the journey takes 90 minutes, offering a comfortable and convenient crossing.

Rossaveal Ferry to Inis Mór Island

The 35 minute boat ride is from Rossaveal, located in Connemara, 30 kilometers from Galway City, serves as a departure point for ferries to Inis Mór. Easily accessible by bus from Galway, Rossaveal is also close to popular destinations like Westport and  Clifden.

Doolin Ferry to Inis Mór Island

Taking a ferry from Doolin to Inis Mór with Doolin Ferries offers a scenic journey with views of the Cliffs of Moher and the Aran Islands. The trip is about 35 minutes, providing a quick and picturesque way to reach the largest of the Aran Islands.
